-Corsair keyboard
-Logitech mouse
-Dell monitor x 3
-network cable by way of USB adapter (unplugged during update after completion of download)
-2 drives: my (new) SSD drive with the OS on it, and an HDD with my user directory in it (with 'Desktop', 'Downloads', etc, which I presume I need online to start up windows)
6) All done within the past 48 hours
7/8) some stuff here. I'm not sure I fully understand the request--am I meant to upload/link some of these entire directories? Some are ~500MB.
I posted individual files for now. In some cases, there is more than one file with the requested name (such as 'setuperr.log')--in those cases, I posted my best guess, but who knows whether I got it right. Please advise.

Instead please run V2 an upload results into this thread.
There were problems in the logs related to E: files.
Were both C: and E: attached during the upgrade?

V2 gives me an error when I try to run it (see post #1).
Yes, E: (the HDD referred to in post #26) has my user directory (Desktop, Downloads, etc). I set it up this way long ago to conserve space, though I have enough space on my new C: now for everything (...if there's a way to move the user directory).

Windows 7 cannot run V2. Sorry it was reflex action for Windows 10.
If you have backup images you can perform trial and error steps to see whether there are permission issues.
A specific tutorial I've not yet found.

I'm not sure what exactly would be productive to attempt by trial and error; my uninformed read on that log analysis is to note that most everything referred to a shortcut in the 'recent items' directory. I've disabled recent items, and I'm retrying the upgrade. I'll post results here.
