yeah I know
but with Windows 10 they can make a windows RT but with x86 support (and an option to install app from anywhere like Android)
yes I want microsoft to control a store that have every important x86 app , microsoft didn't control the app download sites and the result today is an adware with every app you download , microsoft should by default give a safe OS that only reviewed app can be installed on it , and advanced users will know how to make it suit them if they want to install apps from outside the store (like Android and mac os)
Looking at all other "stores", none of them managed to have everything trouble free and have only clean and safe Apps. Seems that all they are controlling is their income.
Why you will never see this. APPs can only be installed from the store now. x86 applications are controlled by the developers not M$ can be free or not free on the not free if it were on the M$ store M$ will charge 35% developers will not stand for that high a charge and will not summit it to the store then the store will not have any thing to sell and no reason for you to go to the store. M$ is desperate to get things in the store right now and it is not happening. If a user is smart enough to go to the store they are smart enough to switch off your option.
currently (on windows 8 store) Microsoft cut is 30% until the vendor reach $25,000; from that point onward, the cut is reduced to 20%. (on windows 10 this might change)
we already heard that Adobe will release photoshop and premiere elements , this cut is not a problem for developers considering that offering it on their own server will cost a lot of money especially if the app is big (this cut is a standard that developers already adapted with it)
and yeah the users who want to enable that can go and enable (microsoft then should have a warning about the safety risks (like android ) ) I have no problem with that , it's exactly what I'm asking microsoft to do
