    Problem

After latest Windows 10 update my computer will not start right if I just let it boot it says "Reboot and select proper boot device"When I press F12 on reboot it shows my DVD drive, my windows 10 drive, my SSD, my games drive, my backup drive, and a blank space (please see attached) I have to select the blank space to boot to windows 10 then everything is fine till I need to reboot then have to do the F12 again.
This was an Isolated incident until my roommate returned from a trip and updated their computer now they have the same problem.

There is a default 10 day rollback period.
There should be access with normal boot and with Windows Recovery Environment (RE).

The 10 day period can be modified before period expiration.

If there was a backup image consider restoring the image.

If the computer is beyond the 10 day period then create a bootable Windows 10 iso for troubleshooting:

UPDATE we reinstalled windows on the 2nd computer still having problem. it seems the update either screwed up the boot sector or something or messed with the bios.
I have scanned both computer for viruses and malware nothing found, also ran sfc /scannow in windows and via the boot to command prompt

I gave my info on the Feedback Hub. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to fix this this I need to restart my computer remotely and I can not if this problem persists.

Nothing messes with the Bios except humans. That is not part of the problem if it wasn`t touched.

What exactly do you mean by this statement ????

    "After latest Windows 10 update"

What are the status of the important computer files:
    a) files backed up to another drive or the cloud
    b) backed up images saved to another drive or the cloud
    c) no backed up files or images > files need to be saved
    d) no backed up files or images > files do not need to be saved

    Please perform the following steps:

    1) Find 3 or 4 flash drives that you can format (> or = 8 GB)

    2) Make tools that can be used to recover important files, test the drives, and troubleshoot

    3) On a working computer create:

    a) a new bootable windows 10 iso 2009:
    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/soft...load/windows10
    Download Windows 10 ISO File
    Download Windows 10 ISO File
Create Bootable USB Flash Drive to Install Windows 10
