    Looking at G.Skill's list, it does seem that my motherboard does support the RAM: LINK.

    I agree BUT NOT on all four dimms
    You try it on GSkill like I did and it comes back - NOT supported for that board
    TRY it as I said with two sticks A2 B2

    Also re my post 20 see this
    Unexpected reboot

    fits your circumstances more or less exactly
    IF Two sticks of ram, as against the four do not solve it - then I would be very tempted to look at the PSU

    Greetings. Apologies, mate. I ended up swapping out the RAM for a new set (same company, same numbers, but this time one of the models recognized as tested). It's been a couple of weeks now, but the last day or so the problem seems to have come back. I'm waiting for another crash before upload those results.

    Like clock work. Just crashed. The one thing I do have that I'm going to change right now is that my CPU is very slightly overclocked (I was messing with the curve a few weeks ago, didn't have a problem). RAM is at default setting. As usual, the crashes weren't under heavy load as far as I can tell. Just browsing the internet, reading e-mails.

    There is something not right here
    On post 12 Zbook said
    Uninstall: cfosspeed6.sys

    and then on post 24 I said
    uninstall cFosSpeed 11.07

    So I am puzzled as to how you uninstall
    cfosspeed6.sys

    and then on your log of the 12 Feb have
    cFosSpeed 11.07

    either you are reinstalling it OR some software you are using is automatically installing it.

    It is still shown as installed on the log of the 16 February
    and it is a running service
    cFosSpeedS cFosSpeed System Service Running 5144 Automatic

    YOU need to uninstall it
    cFosSpeed - Faster Internet access with Traffic Shaping - cFos Software

    There are numerous reports of it causing problems and as you say
    As usual, the crashes weren't under heavy load as far as I can tell. Just browsing the internet, reading e-mails.

    The other issue that concerns me is your hosts file
    see attached notepad file
    Not that those links have been blocked, or the length of it, although that is not good, but the fact that if you are using such indicated links, there is no really effective way of evaluating what has been downloaded to your system

    You can be assured that downloading from such as the Pirate bay etc and other such sites - on torrented downloads is a sure fire way to acquire unwanted software

    I am not qualified to examine your system for malware.
    You can run scans with Malwarebytes and many others, but it does not mean it will find everything
    =====================================================
    I suggest you start with the uninstall of that internet booster

    ====================================================
    Then test the system and if it still crashes.
    ================================================
    I cannot determine if you ever tried the system for any length of time, as I suggested earlier, with two sticks of ram - it will run perfectly with 16GB
    If not you should so so IF it crashes after uninstalling that internet booster.

    DO NOT make more than one change at a time and test it for two or three days AFTER each change OR of course until it crashes. Otherwise we will never determine the cause.

    I have re- examined your hosts file IF the system still crashes after the uninstall of the cfosspeed and the ram test

    Thanks for pointing that out. Apparently cFosSpeed is automatically installed whenever MSI's Dragon Center software runs. So just uninstalling it doesn't do anything, as it'll just reinstall on System restart. There is a way to uninstall it permanently, which it is now. I'll try the other solutions if another restart happens.

    Sadly another random restart. I'm going to look into the host comments. I had an old installation folder with Photoshop from years ago when I couldn't afford it. On that system back then, didn't have any problems. I did try to install it on the new system, but changed my mind pretty quickly because Adobe gave us a key. I think prior to all this, I had the random restart issues, though. Either way, I will reset the Host file back to default. Regarding the RAM, I haven't tried the 2 sticks, yet. I figured because these sticks are different from the ones back in December (I returned those and got sticks that were on the QVL list, hoping that might have been the weird problem). Going to go deal with the Host file now.

    Had a restart. Again, not doing anything crazy. Doing some work, listening to a YT video. I did change the HOST file last week. Many thanks as always.
