    Not only that but searches for "Sunrise Point-LP PCI Express" at the Intel site return effectively nothing useful. The errors suggest a defective motherboard, which is probably a tough sell.

    While the computer is under warranty discuss the problem with Dell.
    See what they can do to fix the WHEA corrected hardware errors.

    I already have a request into the Dell 3rd level person asking what the Dell position is on those errors. I'll ping them again in a couple of days if I don't get a response. There's not much more I can do. If I get nowhere and there is an identifiable user replaceable component I'll replace it. (As long as it's a reasonable cost.)

    A result of sorts


    The best I could do was to send the laptop in to Dell for testing under warranty. It was returned with replaced hard drive & memory. Fingers are now crossed. I want it to be fixed but my confidence is not high.
