    Latest in a series of BSODs on Dell Inspirion 15-3567


    Attached is requested log for the most recent BSOD (of 7) on my 10 month old Dell laptop. This occurred while on a remote connection to my desktop (all on a private network).

    Been there, done that


    I've been on the phone with them three times. The first time on an issue with their support software resulted in a BSOD and it's been downhill ever since. The most recent call a couple of months ago, when I tried to get a return authorization, taught me that only when the Dell software finds a hardware error will they accept a return. They "suggested" the BSOD was caused by a corrupt user profile. So I created and am using a new user profile. And still their support software finds no hardware issue.

    So, yeah, I've tried that. Time to look for alternative and more capable assistance.

    Do not keep this notebook.

    Escalate until you are able to get a RMA.

    New computers should NOT have corrected hardware errors or BSOD.

    The logs displayed many BSOD and corrected hardware errors.

    Run the DM log collector and upload results into this thread.



    1) Open administrative command prompt and type or copy and paste:
    2) sfc /scannow
    3) dism /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth
    4) dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
    5) sfc /scannow
    6) chkdsk /scan
    7) wmic recoveros set autoreboot = false
    8) wmic recoveros set DebugInfoType = 7
    10) wmic recoveros get autoreboot
    11) wmic recoveros get DebugInfoType
    12) bcdedit /enum {badmemory}

    10) When these have completed > right click on the top bar or title bar of the administrative command prompt box > left click on edit then select all > right click on the top bar again > left click on edit then copy > paste into the thread

    The computer has been having corrected hardware errors too.


    There is only 2 months remaining on the warranty.

    Make sure you escalate to get a RMA.
