    Wake from sleep issue

After the system goes to sleep once I awake it it hangs at the Windows screen (where time is shown left corner). After a bit I'm greeted with BSOD stating...

    DPC WATCHDOG VIOLATION

This is a clean install of Windows 10 Pro 1909 18363.535. When I hit the power button (after the diagnostic runs to 100%) it shuts off then I'm able to restart the desktop without issue. All my drivers are current and SFC report no issue/s.

    System specs:

Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD3 rev 1.0 (Award BIOS F10 latest)
    Core i7 3770K

    Asus RX 570 OC 4GB DDR5 (drivers 19.12.2)

    32GB G-Skill DDR3 RAM (CL7-8-8-24) F3-1600C7D-16GTX 8192MBx4

Please read and follow the instructions given at the top:

Before posting a BSOD thread, please read the instructions here: Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions

This will give us a lot more information than just the dump file. I did look at your dump file and it shows a Creative driver ha20x2k.sys may be the problem. So that would be where I focus my attention. Did you install a new Creative audio device or recently update something?

No new audio device just the same one I've been using for the past several years. The driver used is the one Win 10 installed the driver number and date are:

    4/17/2019
    6.0.230.12

Looking at the Creative site the Sound Blaster X-Fi Extreme Gamer has reached end of support and the latest driver for Win 10 is...

    SBXF_PCDRV_L11_2_30_0012.exe

    Here you go...

    FYI:

Updated the Creative drivers to the latest offered. The version number appears to be the same as the Win 10 driver that initially installed.

    Latest driver:

There were no new crash dumps in the logfiles. Does this crash still happen or did reinstalling the driver help?

Nothing new. I've disabled the sleep setting given the issue.

OK, I suspect it might be the power saving option on the Creative device (if there is one) not working. If you have a workaround that it good. Your system/motherboard is an old one and therefore this might be the best you can do.

I looked earlier and there was no option in device manager regarding power.

I have a couple other options to try....

    1. Try the onboard sound after removal of sound card.

    2. Leave onboard sound disabled and see if the issue continues when using the HD sound off the video card.
