Windows 10: Wake from sleep issue

Wake from sleep issue
New to tenforums. I work in the forestry field. We utilize Dell tablets running Windows 10 anniversary edition (10.0.14393 N/A Build 14393).These devices are used to collect data in the forest. We are collecting data for 6 to 8 hours at a time. The Dell tablets last this long if we set them to sleep mode in between actual data collection. Therefore, the tablets are constantly being put to sleep and woken from sleep (by pressing the power button). The tablets are set so that a login password is not needed when waking from sleep. But with the new anniversary edition we now have to swipe away the login screen even though a password is not required. You know the one... the one with the pretty photos. This is hugely annoying when you are trying to efficiently enter data. When you are being rained on or eaten by insects these photos, no matter how pretty, are not appreciated. I've tried to turn this "feature" off but no luck. Can anyone help? On a further note... can anyone explain the rationale behind the new login screen? There is a time and place to look at pretty photos and its not while we are working. Thanks in advance.

Thanks essenbe. Have tried the registry fix but no luck. Don't have Windows 10 Pro edition so the Group Policy Editor options won't work. So I will try what's left and reply back.

Well I tried the suggested solutions but nothing worked. The four fixes were:
- 1) To Enable or Disable Lock Screen using Group Policy
- 2) To Enable or Disable Lock Screen using a REG file
- 3) To Disable Lock Screen using a Task
- 4) To Disable Lock Screen using Security Policy Rule
Fixes 1 & 4 are only available for Win 10 Enterprise, Education and Server editions so they are not available to me. Tried fixes 2 & 3 but neither worked. There is a suggestion that with build 16170 the registry fix will be available to all editions of Win 10 but I wouldn't bet on it. Anyone have a way to fix this?

I have a 4 yr old custom built desktop upgraded from Win 7 pro to Win 10 pro about 8 months ago. Up until two weeks ago the sleep/wake up has worked perfect. Now the unit will not wake from sleep. I have tried everything I have seen and...
I choose SLEEP and my PC goes to sleep, and there is a light on front of my PC Unit that flashes.
But I can't wake Windows 10 up. I tried pressing all buttons on mouse and keyboard, nothing happens :(
What can I do please?
