Windows 10 (1607) will not update to (2h20)

Needless to say i have not updated the windows on this pc for a long time. For some odd reason it never updated. I am currently trying to update it but its a not go. I have asked on the microsoft and they gave me a link to reset my Windows Update components or w.e. So i went ahead and downloaded the script via winrar. Here is the link

I did everything as told on there. Resetted computer, updated it, and well everything was going fine. Screen said "Hi, We've updated your computer" and then jumps to the welcome screen. I went ahead and checked if was updated and it said Installation for 2h20 Windows 10 failed. Check the version on my windows 10 in about and still is at 1607. If anyone has a solution. Please help me. I'm losing my mind lol
OS build is 14393.2214

I suggest downloading 20H2 and upgrading.

My preference would be to use the Windows MCT (media creation tool, https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/soft...load/windows10) to download the .iso. Mount the .iso and run the upgrade from that. (As you're doing an upgrade, there's no need to create a bootable medium. An upgarde must be run from Windows.)

If you want a novice-friendly way to do this, backup all your files to an ext drive and make sure you have all installation files for your programs. Then go to this page- Download Windows 10 (microsoft.com) and click the 'Update now' button. When it asks you 'Do you want to keep your files and programs' (or something to that effect), elect to 'Keep nothing', then let the tool do it's thing for a few hrs and you should be good to go. I've used this method on some older computers that were stubborn to upgrade. While it seems daunting to backup files and reinstall programs, in the long run, this takes less time than trying to debunk what failed. Good Luck

Thank you everyone for the suggestion. bobkn's method fixed my situation. Downloaded MCT for in iso. file version for another computer to update. Opened with Windows Folders and then ran setup.exe. Bam it worked!
