The computer has multiple old drivers.

The latest misbehaving driver was a recurrent misbehaving driver.

    Ok
So can I do reset with 2004 or am I just as well staying on my current one
i only ask as I have done reset a few months ago but I did keep files and have not had any BSOD or maybe 1 or 2
A reset is only going to shove old drivers back

The best option is always clean install.

Clean install allows fixing any drive partition problems or conversion of the partition from MBR TO UEFI.

Reset save or remove files requires the reinstallation of drivers (see tutorial).

I think a clean install is best if you could help me sort out my drive C: and point me how to do it correctly. I still have the usb with 2004 on it

    For clean install:

    1) backup all import files to another drive or the loud or both.

    2) Find a flash drive (> or = 8 GB)

    3) Create a bootable Windows 10 iso:

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/soft...load/windows10
    Download Windows 10 ISO File
Create Bootable USB Flash Drive to Install Windows 10

If you want a different Windows version:

    http://windowsiso.net
Microsoft Windows and Office ISO Download Tool
    TechBench by WZT (v4.1.1)

    4) Delete all partitions making an unallocated drive

    5) install Windows

    6) install drivers

    7) install applications

In post #68 the disk management image displayed MBR partitioning.

This partitioning style can be used for the clean install.

If you want to learn about GPT you can do that but it will consume some time.

    HI
I would like to format / convert to GPT but i see to convert you have to delete the other partiions.
I see 2 Recovery Partisions and 1 Raw Primary Raw!

If i have to delete these 3 first then convert the main partion from MBR to Gpt what is the best way and what software?

Also you had me make a USB is that the same as above

When converting MBR to GPT the BIOS is changed from Legacy to UEFI.
When Windows is installed if the BIOS is Legacy the drive partitioning becomes MBR.
When Windows is installed if the BIOS is UEFI the drive partitioning becomes GPT.

If the conversion is made during clean install there is no concern for data loss as files should have already been backed up.
