Can I hold down the power button to shut it down? It's raining and I don't want the power to cut off abruptly. Could that even make things worse or would it be okay?

Edit 1: I'm starting to worry I think I might force shut down but I'm not sure.
Edit 2: I shut it down.

    Thank you!
Please let us know how it's going, and if you have anymore questions.

I held down the power button until it shut off, and then unplugged it from the wall starting with the outlet. It was on the menu with the restore and cancel buttons. Was a force shut down okay?

What is the "Restore" option for? Could you post a screenshot?

Normally, you would need to boot into advanced startup at boot to use the undo system restore option. Depending on what this "Restore" is for, you may need to cancel to then be able to boot to advanced startup.

Since you got a BSOD, it would be best to post that in separate thread using the instructions below.

Hi. Im looking for some help please. Yesterday i was using my Win10 profile. But after i restarted the pc, it logged me to temporary profile.. "We cant sign into your account etc.." i tried renaming the .bak SID, and it didnt worked. Today i did a Windows reset (the data save option). And now im still in that blue temporary profile... Is it possible to come back to my normal desktop view profile, with all my files like images and audio files?

    Hello, and welcome.

If the ProfileImagePath value show the correct path for your account's profile folder, then the profile may be corrupted beyond repair.

In this situation, you could use the method in the tutorial below to delete the old profile to have a new one created for your account. Be sure to back up anything you do not want to lose in the old profile folder to another location first.

They will not have moved unless you have moved/deleted them.
You should be able to browse to them in File explorer, C:\Users\OldUserName\Documents etc.

    All the best,

Normally, they should be located in the old profile folder in the "C:\Users" folder if still there.

I made ‘reset the pc’ today. But I chose the ‘Keep my files’ and then ‘local reinstall’ options. Do you think they weren’t deleted? Why they aren’t there in the old profile then?

Usually, they should be there unless they got deleted.

Check to see if you may have a C:\Windows.old\Users folder from the previous Windows available that they may be in the old profile folder there instead.
