    Hello @rcten,

Result: It Disabled Wi-Fi so I couldn't get back online as the Wi-Fi network disappeared and had to restart the laptop and enable Wi-Fi. Verified the original problem still exists.

Maybe I have done something wrong?

You ran it in PowerShell instead of CMD Prompt.

It managed to Disable the Wi-Fi, which it was supposed to do first, but because it was run in PowerShell, it could NOT understand the rest of the code, and therefore gave the ERROR and did NOT Enable it again which is what it is supposed to do.

You do NOT need to enter ANYTHING as the Batch file will run automatically once double-clicked. I put the CODE in the post for you so you could see what it does.

You just need to download the file and then double-click it. OR, right-click the file and select Run as Administrator.

    I hope this helps.

It just dawned on me that rcten.bat is a hyperlink. Was over exerting to understand. What a beautiful tool of code!
Here is the result after executing it:

Just tested by closing my laptop, waiting 15 seconds and opening laptop to awaken. I was able to see the Wi-Fi icon as being connected but immediately it disconnect and displayed the globe icon for disconnected.

    Hello @rcten,

I noticed that it showed you needed to Run as Administrator so it did NOT completely run as intended.

Therefore, either right-click the file and select Run as Administrator [ as per my PREVIOUS post ], or run this new Batch Script which I have put together for you that already INCLUDES the Elevated CMD Prompt . . .

    rcten.bat

    I hope this helps.

Yes, that shows it ran correctly, and you are VERY welcome.

Now you need to see if it holds the Wi-Fi after Sleep.
If NOT, we will have to rethink it, but a least we have ruled that method as a solution out.

    I hope this helps.

Hi Paul Black, The problem still persists but that was a very instructive try for me. If you feel so inclined I am still interested in trying whatever you may wish. In the mean time I am looking over your list of Batch Scripts. Thank you

Problem solved! On hunch decided to uninstall the Nord VPN program which also uninstalled its two network wi-fi connections and that eliminated the problem!
I thank you very much for your kind assistance which by eliminating other suspected problems led me directly to try this fix.
Have been using this VPN for two years without this problem, when I reinstall it and it still the problem persists I will report it to them to fix it.
Here is the image of the two Wi-Fi network connections that belonged to the NORD VPN program which was uninstalled:

Yes, good idea about contacting them, because you never know, they may already have a FIX for it.
