Lady F, the doc said it went well, the day of surgery I could walk without pain, just sore. This morning it was good for awhile, now it is severe, but hopefully it will heal in time.
Glad to hear that your surgery went OK. I had the medial meniscus removed from my left knee in 1973 so I know a bit about what you're going thru. I was 20 at the time so probably had an easier recovery time than someone at your age. The Dr originally told me I would need to use a cane to walk with for 6 months but I left the hospital walking without any assistance. Just make sure you follow the physical therapy they give you.
Good luck.
Thanks for your kind words. So far it is not quite as bad as it was before surgery. I am sure this therapy will be painful. I had a spiral break in my humorous a couple of years ago. It broke in 3 places and it took around 3 months to heal I found out quickly we don't heal as well as we did years ago. Therapy was a breeze for that, but it was not a weight bearing problem. I will follow through with therapy, it is only for 2 weeks.
I think the too long, didn't read of this thread is; if you're a luddite against new features and are not entertained by them, Windows 10 isn't your cup of tea. If you like new features and can see the worthwhileness of them, go to 10.
I'm glad the surgery went wekk for your! I'm only 65 and know all too well what you mean by not healing as well we did years ago. I had three foot surgeries around eighteen years ago and bounced back fairly well then (although I was never 100% better after that but that was due to the nature of the problem: congenital, hereditary foot deformities). Now, I don't bounce; I just go plop!
Seriously, even at your age, you should heal fine, even if it does take longer, as long has you take the therapy seriously. Hang in there!
