Hi,
i was told a few years back,that paragon software was the one tech and many others use to diagnose pc probs.,but seems they dont look like they have one anymore.Is there a very good software to diagnose hardware issues?? It doesnt need to be free.

This is an interesting subject and I believe there should be more options out there. Of course, you've got the default Windows Troubleshooter, perfect for basic software issues,
- Press Win + I to open settings
- Begin typing 'Troubleshooting'
- Click 'Troubleshooting settings'
- At the bottom, click additional troubleshooters
- Select the option you want and click 'Run the Troubleshooter'

On old laptops the most common problem is the heat sink clogged with dust.
There isn't a software to test all hardware. Most common tests are:
- Drive test - CrystalDiskInfo8_13_3.zip
- Memory test - press Windows Key+R, type “mdsched.exe” into the Run dialog that appears, and press Enter. You'll need to reboot your computer to perform the test.
- CPU test - cpu-z_1.99-en.zip and use stress test.
