Brink's tutorial on In-Place Upgrade states:

My system is at: Version 21H1 (OS Build 19043.1320)

The Download Windows 10 website suggests: Windows 10 May 2021 Update. The ISO download itself does not seem to indicate a build number.

How do I determine if the ISO Build is the same or new than my system build?
It will work as MCT gave you 21H1 / 19043 also - that's the only part relevant. The .1320 doesn't matter.

Stuck at 66% for over 30 minutes. Then ran to about 78% and said it would reboot. It did and now BSD, Stop code: KMODE EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED. Tells me to restart after collecting data. I do and the cycle repeats itself (sometimes it does not collect data and/or restarts on its own). Sometimes I get a 'Preparing Automatic Repair' message, but then KMODE again. Even tried powering off, no change.

Can't find any useful info on the stop code. FUBAR?

Are you able to boot to Windows now, or totally not?

If you can't, see if you can boot from the Windows install USB and try the repair option.

I hope you made a backup that you can restore to.

Didn't prepare a USB, just the ISO which is not accessible. All I have presently is the original Windows DVD.

I can still boot to the original SSD, but not the new SSD.

I did make an image of the new SSD before, so I could restore that, if it helps.

I'm not sure if you mentioned new and original SSD before or if I just forget, so please clarify.

If you have a way to make a Windows Install USB, that could be useful. How old it the original Windows DVD?

Yes, I upgraded the CPU, MB, and system SSD. I have the original SSD installed as a backup. I cloned that drive to the new system SSD after MS re-activated my license.
