After Updates, System can't boot. Repair is required. Is it possible?

    Win 10 Home v.2004

On Saturday, some updates were downloaded and installed. Sunday morning all good. Sunday evening, out of the blue, during booting up, I see ''Preparing Automatic Repair etc'' and after a while ''Automatic Repair couldn't repair your PC''. After Advanced Options I tried to uninstall the latest updates but another failure. My next step was to use a bootable USB but ''Repair your computer'' failed too.
I don't know what else to try, if there is something besides format...

Fortunately, my system has two disks with OS (10 Home and 10 Pro) so I can use the second one.

    Thanks in advance...

If your important data is backed up then you could do a clean install or better yet if you have a backup image made before the issue began you could reinstall that.

    - could you explain - are you dual booting? or physically swapping disks? Or something else.

Do your comments mean you can boot with one disk and you only have the failure with the other?

Your configuration is very unclear at present, and how you swap between the two.

My next step was to use a bootable USB but ''Repair your computer'' failed too.
    - at exactly what point, with which option, and how?

Have you been using disk imaging regularly and routinely as is so often recommened here?
(I almost never get an answer to this question)

Has the OP tried "System Restore" under "Advanced options"?

Hence my question about the vague statement
My next step was to use a bootable USB but ''Repair your computer'' failed too
    - not even clear this progressed to any usable options from that statement...

    My system has five disks.

SSD 1 (Win 10 Home)....the one with the problem
    SSD 2 (Win 10 Pro)
    HDD 1 (storage only)
    HDD 2 (storage only)
    HDD 3 (storage only)

    SSD 2 boots without problems.
    I don't use disk imaging.
I hadn't set restore points. I switched from Win 7 a few while ago and I am still at the beginning of setting up. I've only installed a browser and 2-3 apps.

Try "Uninstall Updates" under "Advanced options".

I've already tried it with no success. Actually it was the first thing I did.

    Try clean installation.

    Download Windows 10 ISO File
Create Bootable USB Flash Drive to Install Windows 10
    Clean Install Windows 10
