Not able to save screenshots

Are yours Local accounts or MS accounts? Have you ever changed any of the default user locations? None of my machine have that registry entry (or will create one when taking a screenshot) but all of them save to the Pictures\Screenshots folder. I've now checked back as far as v1511 on my System Two test machine. All my machines use Local accounts. Or it could just be that I've never changed any of the default location for my user files.

Maybe that registry entry is only used if the account is an MS account, or if user folders are changed from their default?. This thread suggests that deleting that registry entry will restore normal operation.

@NickosD could try deleting that value from the registry, restarting, then taking a WinKey+PrtScn screenshot. Export the key first, just in case.

Deleting the key did nothing. I still get the animation of taking the screenshot, but the registry key itself wont regenerate.

Cant access safe mode, it's broken at the current insider build.

I already did a repair of the installation, and after that I did a complete format. It might be a bug from the windows version. (But i had it before joining insiders too. Dunno)

Anyway, I am using greenshot for now.

Have you restarted? Or at least signed out and back in? That is required for the registry changes to take effect.
Have you tried deleting the Screenshots folder? If deleted, does Winkey+PrtScn recreate it?

I did a complete format already. Dont know why I just cant take screenshots with win + prnt but for know i use greenshot which does the same thing.

I did a restart after deleting reg key. It's strange behavior and for now I'll just wait for the next version of fast ring.

At the above safe boot issue I thought that I was just having an issue that's why I did a format on Friday.
