putting sleep mode overnight resets the computer when i wake it

i got a new hp computer and i put it to sleep for the first time last night. it stayed asleep all night but when i woke it up no programs were loaded like before i put it to sleep as if the computer had reset. i tried to put it to sleep them minutes later bring it back and this time all the programs were still there. i read on another forum someone else said the same thing happened but there wasn't any real answers to their inquiry. i don't know if it's a windows 10 thing or a hp computer thing.

    1. this has nothing to do with a bsod.

the rest what does any of that have to do with the sleep function?

i was just wondering if there is such a thing like a time limit that a computer can stay in sleep mode without having to reboot everything. i've never had that happen before but i thought maybe with newer hardware or something

The log collector is used in another forum.
If you run the log collector it will collect files to troubleshoot.

    1) Open administrative command prompt and type or copy and paste:
    2) sfc /scannow
    3) dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
    4) chkdsk /scan
    5) Powercfg -h off
    5) When these have completed > right click on the top bar or title bar of the administrative command prompt box > left click on edit then select all > right click on the top bar again > left click on edit then copy > paste into the thread
    6) shutdown /r
