for those who windows 10 keeps freezing, what Power Options are u using?
Only thing that seem to work for me was a reinstall windows than disable windows update, as soon as I updated the lag spikes returned.
It's more likely than not due to drivers.... if you have a broadcom wifi card, it's driver's are likely the issue. Are you running an upgraded Windows 10 install or a clean install?
They'll be located on the support page for your PC on the PC manufacturer's website.
This is also more than likely due to drivers. Please refer to my reply to danilobr's post.
See above
You cannot compare one OS to another, however, many seem to want to do this. Please use google to learn why this is not a legitimate point.
Windows 10 performs far better than Windows 7 in every way. While there are legitimate bugs in Windows 10, which all OSes and programs have, 90% of the issues users are having with WIndows 10 are driver related, with most a result of a failure to clean install or not following the proper clean install procedure.
This is NOT recommended. Anyone doing so will have their PC exploited at some point. Windows Updates are patches, some for buggy code, majority for exploit patches. Once a patch is pushed, by default, it shows everyone exactly how to exploit a PC without the patch (which is also why Windows XP should not be ran by anyone without a corporate contract).
There's a possibility you installed a driver update via Windows Update that is causing the issue. Regardless, it's a simple thing to fix. You'll need to look in Programs and write down the KB #'s of all the updates that were installed the last time you ran Windows Update. You'll then uninstall them one at a time, reboot, and see if the issue is still present. Continue until the problem update is found.
This would be a one off problem, and is not the cause of the the system hangs individuals are experiencing. The hangs are almost always related to drivers, whether it be running an upgraded Win 10 install, or because the drivers installed are buggy (which is the case with all Broadcom/Dell Wireless wifi drivers for Windows 10).
