How to check if i have unexpected reboot?

    Hi pc:

    12900K with NZXT KRAKEN X73

    2x16GB DDR4 KINGSTON DDR4 3600MHZ in GEAR 1

    RTX 3090 Ti Gigabyte Gaming

    Aorus Z690 Elite DDR4 bios F5

    SSD 1 TB NVM PCIE

    Seasonic 1300W Prime Titanium

Hi. I have a question. If for example i will be have unexpected reboot ( due to psu failure ), then on next boot ,programs will be closed and i must manually start them again? And i will be have critical Kernel 41 Power entry? Unexpected reboot its not the same like closing Windows from start button and after that on next boot programs will be open...?

I ask because i think pc was rebooted 2 days ago, but maybe i am wrong. There is not Kernel 41 Power entries on logs, also programs was still open. So i think it not rebooted?

    1 Yes
2 Please define the Event viewer entry fully so it can be looked into.
    3 Correct.
4 Please define Event viewer entry fully so it can be looked into.

A reboot will be recorded in Event viewer in several ways. I have these set up as Event viewer, Custom views and have never been able to decide which is best so I keep them all.

Record set A: Power - records of Starts
    Log - System
    Event source - Kernel-General
    EventID - 12

Record set B: Power - records of Starts, shutdowns
    Log - System
    Event source - [none selected]
    EventID - 1074,6008

    Record set C: Power - records of implied Starts, shutdowns {Event log service starts & stops}
    Log - System
    Event source - [none selected]
    EventID - 6005,6006

    All the best,
    Denis

If you do not have any entries in the Custom views I defined then you have not rebooted.
