Does it matter what driver is used with the 1050ti?

It's been my experience that a company will have a product with a certain chipset on it, example is ATI Radeon video cards marketed by Sapphire. Just like the BIOS on a motherboard the vendors can make some changes to suit their purpose so I use the software for the vendor/brand. If that fails then the ATI software can be tried.
I think ATI is part of AMD.

There are very good reasons to update graphics drivers from both AMD and Nvidia, better stability with Windows versions (both major and minor), filling security holes, better performance in certain games and applications. Other than that you can get new features if you decide you want/ need them, such as image sharpening, variable refresh rate support etc..
