I have a gigabyte 1050ti coming on Sunday and I'm wondering what driver I should use. There's a driver that gigabyte and Nvidia has for the card but which one should I choose?

    Windows 10

It's been my experience that a company will have a product with a certain chipset on it, example is ATI Radeon video cards marketed by Sapphire. Just like the BIOS on a motherboard the vendors can make some changes to suit their purpose so I use the software for the vendor/brand. If that fails then the ATI software can be tried.
I think ATI is part of AMD.

I always use the latest nVidia drivers for desktop cards with their chipsets. As far as I know, no maker does variations that would benefit from customized drivers.

Do I think that it matters? No. Updating the drivers frequently is probably also pointless.

I had to look it up. AMD acquired ATI back in 2006. AMD stopped using the ATI brand name in 2010.

There are very good reasons to update graphics drivers from both AMD and Nvidia, better stability with Windows versions (both major and minor), filling security holes, better performance in certain games and applications. Other than that you can get new features if you decide you want/ need them, such as image sharpening, variable refresh rate support etc..
