    Microsoft Edge

I have a new laptop with Windows 10. It comes with Microsoft Edge even though I don't want it. It will not un install and it takes up space on the task bar next to the search box.

Just right-click on the icon and unpin it from the taskbar.

But, it's not meant to be uninstalled or Microsoft would have added an uninstall option, it does no harm and a backup browser is always good, it's best to just unpin it and forget it's installed and not risk any complications from the unnecessary removal further down the line.

Exactly, just don`t use it. I have no issues with it at all, it`s just another browser.

It's not pinned it is in a rectangular box to the right of the search box. It opens up a large dialogue box full of Microsoft products.

Hello. I agree with everyone here. Plus, I am running Win10 with no Edge. It was a nightmare to do. It is impossible to uninstall it, so you need to make a special version of Windows installation files, where you have removed Edge, using hard to use command line tool. Then, you will find that there are quite a few things that don't work quite right and updates stop working. I spent weeks making the changes and months after wondering if it was all worth it, still do.
