I believe it's on new installs. If you already have it set as that then you shouldn't notice any change. Kind of like the compact toolbar when they removed it. If you were already using compact you didn't notice a change, but new installs didn't have the option anymore.
Not a new install here. So not sure what you're talking about. The Classic Download screen, as above was missing in the 97.x betas, which I was running, but when I updated today to 97 Release version, it was back as normal. Least here. I have done a clean install of FF for a long time, expect for a new OS I was building elsewhere.

Yeah. I checked mine also... no change.
Either they haven't done it yet, or maybe I changed the setting before this update?
    You've got me confused.................

The screen I posted was not there until I updated today to 97./0 Release Version Public. Are you talking about something else?

I have no idea what was in the beta versions. I only install the final versions.
I don't even mess with the RCx versions.

Didn't realize that. I thought because of the timing of your link to fix that you were actively in it. So I guess all the hoopla about the alleged change and mess around , etc., etc. was premature. That's what Betas are for, not everything makes it to final.

But, in any case, if someone reads this thread, at least they'll know it never happened and not to be concerned over it.

Either that or it's still yet to come. Maybe they got a lot of backlash about it?

Or if it does happen, down the road... they'll find the fix here.

Whatever. It's no concern now. All is well.

Would there be a way to add an extra set of forward/back tab buttons to the right side of the search bar?

I have no idea. I wouldn't think you could have two sets.
You can "move" the ones on the left to the right side though.

I got that feeling when I went to the customizing tab and didn't see any extra buttons, and I thought that maybe the css lines that control the buttons could be duplicated in your chrome file and set parameters to place them on the right.

I'm not sure of the structure of your file, maybe it'd have to be placed after the parameters for the search bar.

    I know.
The reason I ask is b/c while crusin' today I ran across multiple occasions where I was on the right side of a page but wanted to go back one or two pages and I thought; How much easier it would be to go straight up instead of move across to the left.

Maybe I can fiddle with the size of the search bar and place them closer to the center, hmm . . .

It has to do with my mouse where I need to make two gestures to get the cursor that far over to the left. I imagine I'll just have to increase the size of my mouse pad.

    Just thinkin' . . .
