Theoretically it should be possible to move storage spaces between PCs - in practice it seems not so reliable.

Unfortunately that's correct. Simply search tenforums for the few storage spaces threads...and you'll get that impression.

Did your problem perhaps occur after upgrading to Win 11, or a feature...

You could download it on another PC, upload it somewhere, then download it...

You can certainly try an in-place upgrade repair install using an iso file (Tutorial available).

Whether it will help...you can only try. That the problem is present on a new account supports...
