    Win 10 Pro (22H2) (2nd PC is 22H2)

An upgrade repair of Win 10 would fix it. A correct Recovery partition would fix it. You don't need Win 11 to fix it but go ahead.

And as said- if no bitlocker- you don't need it and if so, a lot of time wasted. Good luck.

no bitlocker. i did a win10 iso and that failed and then a win11 iso and that failed so maybe a win11 install will fix it. we will see. if that fails then i will just forget it and see if i can figure out how the just turn off that notice so it will not bug me again

KB5034441 will never fail, because it doesn't belong to WIN 11!

But! If your Recovery Partition on WIN 11 is too small, you have another problem.

ok that is the plan. you noticed i did a win10 iso and then i misspoke not a win11 iso but a new copy of win10 iso that i got from microsoft. and let these run and i kept my files and still i did not get past that error message. so because both pcs are win11 ready and bug me every time i reboot i just now letting them install and be done with it.

So that means that you booted and run the installation from USB and you deleted all partitions on that disk. I speak only School English and try to get you properly.

i did not delete anything when i ran the iso they never asked me to delete anything. so last night i ran the old iso i had and it gave me 21h2 i had 22h2 so today i downloaded a new copy of the iso on another stick and ran that and i got 22h2 but i still have that error so because these pc's are telling me i can install win11 i'm now letting that install. it seems that file is not needed in win11 so that error will go away.

because i use a hearing aid fitting program i was getting some errors in win11 with security files not being up to date in the fitting program so i went back to win10 but then i get the security error message in win10 so i'm putting win11 back on and if i get that fitting program security error i will deleted that program until i need to use it again, then just reinstall it.

    do you understand yet?

If that hearing aid fitting program creates problems on WIN11, it can probably be solved in the Security Settings of WIN11.

When you downloaded the new WIN10 22H2 ISO and you got that error again you should have asked!

That's why I asked: "Did the Recovery_Partition survive that operation?" see #36

thanks but i now have win11 22h2 pro on this pc and win11 22h2 home on the other pc. so unless i get issues with security with the fitting program i will not bother. if i do get issues i will see if the hearing forums have a fix. the win11 guys told me i the signia program had the issues. and the sys files i showed were from that pforgam. thanks
