10 stuck at 20h1 months now
w10 desktop
build 19042.746 6.22.2020
i have tried over and over to do the basics and ran into errors
i was stopped at the w10 update with major errors could not update
i contacted ms support 2 x ng ..
this is the previous attempt
copy paste
ran
update troubleshooter 3x
file checker 2x sfc
check hdd error
w10 update assistant
deleted dl folder 2x
deleted all folders in update file
use the key you need for the build and run those lines in cmd to activate
activation
I suggest running those commands as administrator. Just in case.
net stop bits
net stop wuauserv
net stop cryptSvc
net stop msiserver
Rename the SoftwareDistribution and Catroot2 folder.
ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old
ren C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 Catroot2.old

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps
Method 1:
Follow the below steps and check.
Go into "C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download" folder and delete everything in that folder.
Go into Setup log: windows.~bt\source\panther\setuperr.log and delete everything in that folder.

found 2 setupact logs 0 kb and 8 kb
and this log is not a folder it is IN a folder called panther so deleted all diagerr.xml diagwrn.xml 2 logs

Now, Press Windows + X keys on the keyboard and select Command Prompt Admin.
Type in wuauclt.exe /updatenow in the Command prompt.
Close the Command prompt after successfully executed the command in Command prompt.

the above command did nothing it shows command and after enter the command line is back note with admin

Press Windows + X keys on the keyboard and select Control Panel.
Click on Windows update and Download Windows 10 update again and check if it helps.
If the issue persists then follow the below method.
Method 2:
I suggest you to reset the Windows Update components. Refer the section manually reset Windows Update components in the below article to reset the windows update components.
