    Bad update affecting 2 computers

KB5000802 -On one PC this windows update breaks printing. I uninstall it and it fixes my problem but it reapplies itself and breaks me again. I know I can stop updates for 7 days and I've done that. But then it will reapply again. I tried disabling the windows update service but it turns itself back on, so that won't work.
My other PC blue screens after this update.
What does one do in a case like this since MS is forcing bad updates even after we uninstall them? Both are home edition so I can't us group policy to disable windows update..

Were you able to rule out other causes of the BSOD.

See if WUMT allows you to control updates:

The following works perfectly on my Windows 10 Home.

Using CMD script and VBScript to control Windows Update

No updates can be installed without my permission.

Ways of disabling Windows Update and controlling it have been around for years- free. So very often discussed here.
There's even a tutorial with Option 7 giving a free 3rd party utility.

Enable or Disable Windows Update Automatic Updates in Windows 10

I understand this problematic update is being withdrawn by MS.

Note: you can get a Pro license for around £40 legitimately assuming the magazine-based offer is still open as it has been for months - posted in a couple of threads here.

    Further to the options above..
There is a less sophisticated option to increase the 7-day pause up to a total of 35-days - if you are just looking to buy a bit more time before updates resume.:

    Here's the tutorial link...

zbook - The blue screen is on a PC that is not online all the time so doesn't get updated regularly. I had it on and checked for updates manually. At the restart it blue screened. It was the only update except for a definition to defender and a .net update. I haven't pursued it any further yet.
ashleyg - Thanks, that helps a little.
Matthew Wai - can you tell me exactly what the script does. I'm assuming it will run at every boot.
Dalchina -I'll look into that if all else fails.
Thanks to each of you for your suggestions. It's a shame MS ties our hands like they do. My main PC running Pro version applied the update without a hitch. I talked to my neighbor and her printing is now broken, too.

The scripts will (1) stop automatic updates, (2) check for updates automatically, (3) notify you when updates are found (so that you may either install or hide them), and (4) install definition updates automatically for Microsoft Defender as long as it is enabled.

Update the specs in the "My Computer" section:

System Specs - Fill in at Ten Forums
In the left corner below in your post you find 'My System Specs'.
After clicking it you can find a link a little below that says 'Update your System Spec', click on this link to get to the page where you can fill in your system specs.
System Info - See Your System Specs - Windows 7 Help Forums

Include PSU. cooler, case, peripherals and anything attached to the computer by wired or wireless (mouse, keyboard, headset, printer, xbox, USB wireless network card, etc.)

For the computer with the BSOD run V2 and DM > upload results directly into a new thread in the BSOD forum:
    BSOD - Posting Instructions

    For both computers run:

Tuneup.bat - Click here to go to the BSOD batch repository to download and run this batch file.

LOGS.bat - Click here to go to the BSOD batch repository to download and run this batch file.
