    Cannot finish update restoring

Windows 10 Home Version 1903 OS build 18362.1016 Update fails repeatedly, 1. I ran the Update trouble shooter. It "fixed some things" but after rebooting Update continued to fail. 2. Following the advice on Fix: We Couldn't Complete the Updates Undoing Changes on Windows 10 - Appuals.com I successfully deleted the SoftwareDistribution Folder. Rebooted, and tried update again. Again update failed repeatedly. 3. Something I noticed on th several attempts to update is that download of update KB4574727 stops for a long time at 20% before resuming and finishing. I do not know if that is relevant or not. How do I get Windows 10 to finish updating? Thanks.

As you can see it never got to the point of asking me (as described in the instructions pages) to reboot. Afraid to mess things up, I'll await further instructions.

Should I reboot or is something missing?

    What else can I do?

Try running it in Safe mode.

    Thank you.

I ran the bat file under windows Safe mode and then reupdated again. Unfortunately, I got the same result: "We couldn't complete the updates. Undoing changes".

Are there any other options I should try?

Open an elevated (Run as administrator) Command prompt, and run the following -

    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

I can't do that because I have more than one Windows 10 laptops.

Besides, what do "tuneup.bat" and "Logs.bat" do?
I worry abut running things on my pc without knowing what I'm introducing.

    Thanks for helping.
I have a working system right now. So I'll make a Macrium image backup first.
What exactly does this command do?
    Do I need internet access?
The W10 on this laptop was installed by the free upgrade from Windows 8. So I do not have an original W10 OS media. Will the above image require me to have that media?

You have to access the Internet so as to download the batch script.
The commands in the script will do these things: Batch files for use in BSOD debugging
You don't need a Windows installation medium to create a system image.
