HP 255 G7 Laptop - Optional Update keeps saying it's available

My HP Laptop had some optional updates available the other day. One of them was from Hewlett-Packard and it had to do with the keyboard/hotkeys. I installed the update and it says it installed successfully. But each time I re check for updates, it says the said optional update is available again. If someone could me resolve this, that would be great.

Below is a screen clip of the said optional update:

    Hello Jesse,

These optional driver updates will always be listed. Your update history should let you know what's been successfully installed.

These optional driver updates should only be installed if you are having an issue with the driver of a specific device that's automatically updated via Windows Update.

Basically, these are just optional alternative drivers to try if you are having an issue with that device using the current more up to date driver.

Check for and Install Windows Update in Windows 10

@Brink (Shawn)... Thank you for the information. I just wish there was a way to hide it if you don't need it. It kind bothers my OCD.

I can understand not wanting anything listed you do not want, but I'm not aware of a way to hide or remove the option updates feature.

Luckily, they are hidden behind "Optional updates" and not listed along with Windows Updates. Plus, they do not get installed unless you manually do so.

See if wushowhide.diagcab https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...ling-in-window will let you hide those optional updates.
