    Windows 10 KB4571756 won't install on Dell Precision 5820


    Having an issue with KB4571756 update failure with error (0x800f0922)...horendouse update time, gets all the way to 100% before informing me that it fails and starts uninstalling the update, spent hours on the phone to Dell, not much help at all, have too much work on my rig to have to clean install Windows 10....all system checks show no issues, went through loads with Dell who are flummoxed....there has to be a simple solution.
    Tried all suggestions (troubleshoot, Diagnostics, manual download, everything)


    Dell 5820 precision workstation
    intel Xeon W-2133 CPU @ 3.60GHz
    128gb Ram
    NVIDIA Quadro P4000 GPU
    Windows 10 64-bit Build 1904
    BIOS 2.4.0

    If I recall, for that error number, in other cases people have done an in-place upgrade repair install which keeps all progs and data.

    have too much work on my rig to have to clean install Windows 10
    I really hope, then, that you have taken the so, so so oft-repeated advice here to routinely and regularly use disk imaging in case something goes badly wrong, giving an easy restoration path. E.g. Macrium Reflect (free- paid) + large enough external storage.

    I have Dell Latitude E5550 and have the same problem, KB4571756 cannot be installed...

    When update is installed, then I click on Restart, but my machine is only loading and loading... on black screen. I gave it half hour yesterday, then I shutted down hardly.

    my error code is: 0xe0000100
