    windows update problem

I'm trying to run windows update. When I do, it states There were problems downloading some updates, but we'll try again later. If you keep seeing this, try searching the web or contacting support for help. This error code might help: (0x80070002). Any suggestions?
    Thanks

    Hello
To save me wasting my time and YOU wasting your time, what have you tried please
    Common causes
    1. Time and date on computer not correct
    2. 3rd party Anti Virus
    3. System files corrupted
    4. A previous failed update
    5. Various reg fixes to disable auto updates on 10

    1. Date and Time are correct.
    2. I'm using Norton
    3. Ran SFC /scannow, no problems
    4. Just one file June 9, 2020—KB4557957 (OS Build 19041.329), as it tried 8 times yesterday and 2 times today.
    5. Sorry I don't go into the Reg file, unless I'm following directions from someone who knows what they are doing.
    Other than that, no fix.
    Great News :)
I did some reading and found a place on ms of single downloads. So I d/l the 957 file, it ran, installed, and played like a harp :). I then asked windows to check for updates, and it came back I was all up to date.
If the problem comes back I'll let you know.
    Thanks :)

I was actually asking - Had you done, as I said - some of the attempted tweaks for want of a better word - to stop windows from updating automatically - have stopped windows updates working completely it appears

Pleased you got it sorted presumably via the update catalogue.
I am surprised you have not had other update problems besides just this one

Hi, I understand you manually downloaded and applied the update, and that Windows Update is enabled.

Should you have a problem next time, try
