    Activation troubleshooting.

I downloaded the Diagnostic Tool with excellent ( Ahaaaa!) results for Win10pro but now want to do the same for Office but it is greyed out and not accessible.
What is this 1st timer doing wrong please?

If it is greyed out it means ADT can't find the Office version - which do you have installed? and which of 32/64bit?

It doesn't provide a report - it's was just a nice to have that was included. Office activation has never really been an issue so not much work went into that.

What is the background of why was it necessary to conduct activation troubleshooting?
--- Were there issues with Windows updates, maybe a clean install, reset of Windows 10 or something else?

Let us know what version of Windows 10 you have.
--- Type winver in the search box and let us know the results.

As has been requested, what version of Office is installed?

My apologies. Still coming to grips with this forum. As I had entered System Specs I assumed they displayed automatically. If not how then do I insert them and how to insert software data? Had not wanted to detail my, many, problems until I had checked the activation. Is there no tool that will report on an Office edition before I outlay two pages of issues?

I don’t recall being able to have my system specs being entered automatically.
--- Refer to the system specs tutorial

On the Office activation issue, it depends on a few factors and that is why I asked the questions I did in post #3.
--- Answers are needed in order to determine what course of action to take.
What Office version are you using?
If it was acquired through the Microsoft Store, there is a way to work that out.
--- Was it acquired via a Microsoft disc but you don’t have it anymore?
--- Do you know the original or assigned 25-character product key from Microsoft?

If it was acquired via a 3rd party vendor, AFAIK Microsoft will not recognize a product from a 3rd party vendor.
--- If this is the case, you could contact the vendor but I’m not sure that they will help you meaning you probably will have to purchase a new Office of whatever you have.

Do you still have computer issues to work on?
And we still need what Windows 10 version you are on.
