    1) Open administrative command prompt and type or copy and paste:
    2) sfc /scannow
    3) dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
    4) chkdsk /scan
    5) systeminfo.exe
    6) When these have completed > right click on the top bar or title bar of the administrative command prompt box > left click on edit then select all > right click on the top bar again > left click on edit then copy > paste into the thread
    7) List the antivirus software products currently installed (always on and manual) and list the antivirus software products used in that past 6 months.

    Hi there!

I hope you don't mind me reviving this old thread. I have this old laptop of mine who has been having that issue but I ignored it since around 2018. I just did not understand anything at that time and wasn't searching hard enough for solutions. I had to endure the non-updated laptop and the fact that it's being super slow over time.

Lately I already changed laptop and just now I thought to myself to check for a hopefully successful update. I did check it, and the error persists alongside its slowness.
I tried your steps here, but my sfc /scannow doesn't seem to make any progress at all. When I pressed Enter, the line below the one I typed just stayed blank for however many minutes I left it.

I look forward to your reply. I would love to fix this issue.
