Thank you, i guess its a global launch not local time.
Mine I think is showing local, its giving me a time 5 hours ahead of the US
Just under 21 hours I get now

The counter is showing time depending on the local time set in windows, i have just changed my time zone to Kiritimati Island which is +14 hours and counter changed to less then 8 hours. I even set date on my PC to 30th and the counter showed 00.00 but i don't get it
-
I wondered how it would handle things like that
it's looking like somewhere between 7am to 8am local time it will become available
could be worth a try changing time zone in about 8 hours to see what happens, but it could be tied into MS id also if one is used
-
looks like local time, mine is showing as 7:30
for the release time (11:30pm 27th Pacific Time)
where are you guys seeing this counter ??

thanks Paul
well i think the thing to do is be present just before time runs out
07:30am GMT and click on anything that looks promising \
see what happens ..
I'd be amazed if we ( europe ) got it before US
you'd expect microsoft to have the d/load on European servers

That's what makes me not sure about this
Will be surprised if it rolls out to the US almost last, if its based on time in location

Well they say 29th everywhere, and 29th comes at different times around the globe, so people who are early on 29th must get it first. Unless they set a fixed time on 29th which is 29th on all time zones.

Right now the counter shows 1 day 1 hour and 8 minutes at 8minutes before 7am EST. That would be 8am EST for the Eastern US. Now when going to the page there it may show something else if you are in a different time zone.
At 6:55am this is what I saw.
