Microsoft Fixes the Windows 10 Freezing Issues

One definitely is the loneliest number, so thank you Night Hawk for making it so that I'm not the only one in the Bermuda Triangle. You mention a magnet. Yes, that would present problems for some I suppose if some kid were to meander through a computer shop with a horseshoe magnet. Windows 10 and Windows 10 Anniversary Update is a dream as far as I'm concerned.

The only urk seen so far is with a 10 Home laptop I previously brought with me when visiting someone and now seem to only have one use of bringing along on any long trip. The connection at home as far as the temp updates and so forth since it had been left at the care facility as a rule had a problem trying to connect through the ISP's WiFi function of the combination modem here where I now will be testing the connection by way of the Cisco Linksys router I also have set up.
Once I used the sync tool the connection was instant and continual by way of the E2500 compared to the very limited range of the ISP modem! The test was conducted about 75ft or so from the modem to look at any possible WiFi leaks with the N type router that had only been seen previously with an old G type where passerbys could have access. The updated but now about 5yrs. old at this time router goes through all the set up motions as well as also being seen with the Team Viewer of adding a new device onto the network with a configuration tool.

Fixed the Freezing issues users had with KB 3176398, introduced Severe Performance Problems with Secondlife viewers though & Other OpenGL based games (Microsoft is supposedly investigating the issue though, so hopefully a fix very soon)

Do you mean KB 3176938?

Yes that is the KB I meant, brought Windows 10 from 14393.82 to 14393.105, and introduced this Severe Performance issue

That was the one before the Adobe Flash Player update and not a problem seen here at all with any of the updates since the RS1 went on. In fact I can leave an old 2001 game title sitting idle for hours and go back to it without any stalls. The same for a number of Steam titles as well as far as the gaming goes with 10.

Problem is FPS Drop with Firestorm Viewer and Other Secondlife Viewers and OpenGL games, tab out to something else, go back to Firestorm or Secondlife official viewer, and FPS will drop to 1.5/s or lower, which results in it being very sluggish, to point unable to type or move in the game, only fix is relogging, restarting PC or uninstalling according to Firestorm support the update, so far I haven't uninstalled the Update, but is temping a little bit

I think the problem is with the two 3rd party wares becoming outdated and not keeping up with the changes being seen in 10! Either they will need to patch their wares or release newer versions of same.
With addons like those often games will tend to run into snags at times. Found that out over time trying out various recording apps. OBS(Open Broadcaster Software open source app) and ZD Soft's Screen Recorder turned out to be the best in that category.(later paid for app with pause recording function not seen with other)

No big issue that I can point to, but some occasional unexpected freezings and general misbehavior. I didn't have any of these before KB3176938. This "cure" has been much worse than the disease so far.

Debating on going back to Offical Secondlife viewer for that game, but seems faster with 3rd party Firestorm viewer, so stuck with this one since I was on Windows 8 lol
Anyhow No other issues noticed at all
