And?
I turned that off, as my first action, when they started that, in Folder Options, unselect "show sync provider notifications":
What’s new in Build 14901
Improving Product Education: As part of an effort to explore new ways of educating our customers on features in Windows 10 – we are testing out new notifications within File Explorer. They’re designed to help customers by providing quick, easy information about things they can do or new features they can try to have a better experience with Windows 10. If you want to opt out of these notifications, you can do so by unchecking ‘Show sync provider notifications’ from the Options menu in the File Explorer View tab.
Sure you can turn this off, but does anybody ACTUALLY see this as a GOOD feature?
We have the notifications icon etc. How much more intrusion do we need?
This change is really patronising in my opinion (fed that back to MS).
I can just picture all the posts now complaining.
MS really have to get consistent with their approach to notifications. For example - to turn this off, you have to use file explore menus and is hardly intuitive - why not a checkbox in the notifications settings (also fed back to MS).
It is almost as if MS do not really want us to turn this off!
Exactly.
Notifications in the Action Center, Banners flying in from the bottom right hand corner, Cortana piping up with 'Tidbits' from time to time is one thing, but,
Banners within File Explorer!?!?!? Enough already MS!
And, don't start on me about "That's what you agreed to when you..........."
They simply took it one step too far! Period!
I have to switch over to my insider build but I don't recall seeing that.
Be right back........
Edit.. Back and I don't have that. Really... and I have no idea what I did to get rid of that.
