Windows - Microsoft
Just around the corner.
Last 10 days for the freebie, update your hardware/MOBO, smack an old Win7/Win8 retail on it, and UPGRADE!
Option Two in the guide there illustrates which reg key needs to be changed or created if not already present. You cam still try manually going to a manufacturer's support for 8.1 updates if nothing is out for 10 quite yet. It depends primarily on which hardware(s) you are having a problem with.
Hopefully these newer releases coming with be seen with the bugs worked out of them. FF 42 as well as Waterfox 42 through 45 were buggy since WF shares the same base coding as FF while being a separate from Mozilla project. Cyberfox, Opera, and Chrome also base their engines on the original FF coding it seems.
Must have just missed it on the 10/7 dual boot here while the upgrade OS option has been disabled a few friends were warned that this was the type of full screen message they would be encountering during the last minute gold rush time frame to grab 10. One simply wants to keep 7 on the 7 laptop ordered about a year ago being understand while the other couple decide on a pair of 8.1 Home laptops.
So it looks, that 14393 is RTM after all. No more release versions afterwards and it has 111 language packs, it does not have SkipZDP in registry, nor a watermark. I am sold, going to install it tomorrow and play with it a little.
There is only 1 more day to Wednesday. MS has to send RTM to retailers. Someone mentioned, that 14393 was sent.
ZDNet believes 14393 is the RTM version -
