It's really nothing to worry about. Like i said...it gets hard to keep track when these updates keep erasing the KB numbers of the one(s) before from the lists.

Just remember, the best video game out right now is... Windows 10. Tons of side quests and boss monsters.
The only way to stay afloat is backup software and a good backup system.
It's sort of like auto save (except it's not auto) that we see in tough video games.

When you played the original Crysis, I know I saved the game, every time I was starting a new area.
Same with Windows 10. Every time a new patch comes down the pike... make a backup.
Then if Microsoft lobs a grenade, you're covered.

    Attachment 309808

I did have a Nov XX-661, but that was a grenade... so I deleted it.
I do a Full auto backup of the C: drive every 2 days using Macrium. Then if something goes south the most I'll lose is two days of Windows config. I also make an ad-hoc backup before any new major update or software/driver install.

I was a little surprised that my backup image with Macrium Reflect showed that version 19042.685 is slightly smaller than version 662.
It is usually the other way around after an update.

Guys can you please tell me how long did it take in total for you ?

For me on a 6 year old 2TB Seagate HDD took just over 1 hour.

It was "Downloading" and then it was stuck at "Pending install" for a good amount of time, after that it said "Installing" and then it proceeded to install and finish.

Did it took anyone with an HDD and NOT an SSD around this much ?

10yo i3 processor 7200rpm HDD almost exactly one hour to the restart which went very quickly.

    3yo i7 processor and SSD about 10mins.

You might try installing the .630 update first.
    https://www.catalog.update.microsoft...px?q=KB4586781

There was also a Servicing Stack Update...

If all else fails you can do an In-Place Upgrade...
Repair Install Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade

Here is the short version of the In-place upgrade tutorial...

    DISABLE non-Microsoft:
    a) antivirus software
    b) firewall software
    c) drive encryption software

Make a full OS backup with a program like Macrium Reflect (free)
Macrium Software | Macrium Reflect Free

Go here and get the Media Creation Tool and save it to your desktop.
    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/soft...load/windows10

RUN the Media Creation Tool and use it to: Create an ISO image... save IT to your desktop.
This will be the latest version of the ISO image.

For older ISO image versions, go here instead...
    Download Windows 10 ISO File

Right click the ISO image and choose: MOUNT
Open File Explorer and you will see a new drive letter. It will look like a DVD optical drive.
Double click the new drive letter to open it.
Find setup.exe and double click it to start the in-place upgrade.

Choose the Keep personal files and apps option.

After it's all done... to UNmount the ISO image, right click the new drive letter and choose: EJECT.

The ONLY thing you will lose is some of your personalizations. Your programs and data will be intact.

If anyone else wants to share how long it took for the update from zero to finish i'd really appreciate it.
