I installed on 3 systems and all went well I tried one with a restart before the cumulative started installing and after the reboot it installed and worked fine.

Quick and painless update. No problems so far.

My update hangs at 100% for this update. Does anyone know why it's still hung even as we speak. It's been like this for about 30 min. I'm thinking that if I download the stand alone package it will be fine

And above you just wait for them all to be done - before rebooting.

This update moved very slowly on my desktop (slower than usual) with almost all of the slowness being in the installation step of the process. So i'm figuring that the stuff for 20H2 was installed in this update and there'll be an update to flip a switch in 2 days, 2 weeks, November, whenever.

So managed to avoid the whole "restart button" bug on the NET update since it installed and didn't need a reboot.

I wonder how long optional driver updates will remain in the optional folder before either Windows decides to stop detecting them, or the updates get installed without warning.

My understanding is that they will not be installed by MS unless you specifically install them. That being said, we all know well MS is about things like this, so we just wait and see.

yeah, the first I noticed the arrival of optional updates involved the Device Driver Retrieval Client installing a HP Printer driver that was in the optional update bin. That didn't mess up anything (since I haven't used a printer in a long time) but it's a way to be introduced to this change.

But yeah, I'm skeptical on how long optional remains optional until one of the other processes does a run and decides "hey, here's new things to install!"

sfc /scannow never works for me.
I always get could not complete the operation.
Have to do it in safe mode to work for some reason...
