I fully agree. The major players in the AV business has good products though and there's a reason why they cost money.
In the corporate world an AV solution is just a small fraction of the full defense system in place.

It's all about added value (which, of course, is in the eyes of the purchaser). For myself I have worked with a few brillant developers in improving their products and don't mind in the least paying (most of them issue lifetime licenses) for improvement. Good thing the Insider Program is free
So the ISO for Windows 10 1809 will be available to download on Tuesday? Will this be RTM?
As you know, there is no longer a separate SKU for Windows 10S.
I have created an installation iso for 1809 10 Pro in S Mode using
Enable S mode in Windows 10 | Windows 10 Tutorials
I have updated guide for 1809.
Incidentally for those who get devices set up in S Mode by default, you can switch to normal mode BUT you cannot revert back to S Mode (unless you clean install as per guide above).
There was speculation it would be reversible in 1809 but it is not as far as I can tell.

I wonder if the people at MS have decided that those of us on the Insider program no longer get an early release. Seems strange, and very silent - i.e. no comments from the MS team to indicate anything to us.
Why are some of you so suspicious. I’ve installed 17763.1 on three of my computers and there were no problems at all. I’ve fabricated the iso from the official esd files. This is the official RTM. I’ve did this also for previous version and it never failed me. But in the rare occasion it might faile I’ve made an image file for all the 3 computers’ with R-Drive. It is a not so known well application but it is very light and it does the job. I can recommend it to you all.
