    forgot username password, what now?

    Hi guys.
On my Surface Book after booting it asks me to input old password and new password, but I forgot old password so I am stuck at username welcome screen.
I found one trick which has to do with booting to safe mode, but for some reason my Surface Book is not showing picture in safe mode.
So is there a way to delete/ reset completly password input request, or any trick so I can log to Windows normally without asking for password?
I don't need, and want any more passwords.
Probably previous owner had password and I input my own one but forgot which I input.

From the searchable tutorials section see:
Reset Password of User Account in Windows 10

Please remember blue text is clickable and may take you to another tutorial.

Don't forget that- so many do and miss important information.

Read carefully, and choose the option relevant to your situation.

Hmm I don't see how this is helpful, cuz it asks me to know my current password, which I don't know.

No, it doesn't in the relevant option.

Read carefully. Option 2 local accounts- via built-in administrator acct.

    Else MS account as appropriate.

    Which do you use?

And thank you for your reply.

Can you contact the previous owner for this detail?

Are you saying the previous owner just handed over the device without resetting their password, at least. Even more prudent would have been to reset the device to factory default.

Sounds a bit funny, to me .....

Agreed... please state how you got this device- and why you didn't clean install it if previously owned.

It is not Microsoft account password it's a password to login to laptop.
I simply forgot what password did I input.
Strange, I just turned it on, and did not asked to input password.
So Surface Book is goging crazy.

So, I want to delete any password request at login, don't need it, how do I do it?

Can you boot to Safe Mode just for reference? If so, what do you see?
