Hope there is no confusion here.
I am on .351. I use Group Policies to Manage the update process. I have updates enabled ( notify to download and notify to install). I have also set allow Automatic updates immediate installation to enabled, plus No auto restart enabled. to prevent updates that require a restart from restarting the computer while users are active.
The give updates for other MS products is NOT greyed out.
Surely this issue only arises when one disables auto updates completely? then the button is greyed out?

So with the build 14393.xxx, there is a way to download, in manual mode, the Windows and Microsoft product updates?
Thanks

For some reason the registry changes in Option 2 are no longer sticking. Something is deleting them automatically. Just noticed this action the last couple of weeks.
EDIT: The only way to have the registry entries not be automatically deleted is to have the group policy enabled.

I have found it better to be notified that an update is available for download, than to disable updates completely.
that way you are made aware of the updates, can assess the importance of them and then decide to proceed or not.
In this last set, there was a critical flash player update included which I then chose to download immediately, while delaying the others.
Using Windows 10 v1607 and the five option, how do I enable and disable the Windows Updade service with the Command Prompt?
Thanks
Bye
