    Correct.

You could try a repair install to see if it may sort it without losing anything.

Repair Install Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade | Tutorials
I'm lost Brink, the tutorial you linked begins with explaining the difference between "Refresh" and "Reset" then never mentions either word again. I want to make sure I refresh and not reset, is either of them the same as "Repair"? Is that what an in place upgrade does, refresh??? If so, it would be good if somewhere it said, "Repair is the same as Refresh" or something like that.

But then the word "Refresh" links this tutorial Refresh Windows 10 | Tutorials which does say refresh, but then I'm wondering why you sent me to the one you linked if I'm supposed to use this one?

It also says later in the tutorial, "IF prompted to insert media", but I need it to load the newly prepared OS with stuff I removed before so I need to insert media for sure???

I just don't want to reformat and start from scratch so being extra careful how I proceed from here...

Edited to say... I paniced, you said this which is pretty clear...

The options above are great for what they are intended for, but you could also do a repair install of Windows 10 by performing an in-place upgrade without losing anything other than all installed Windows Updates.

Please let us know how it went.

Went great, loaded a new image with Lock App, photo editor and the store included and now they all work.

    Thanks for all the help.

    Hello Mike,

Just to verify, do you have secure sign-in enabled? If so, it will prevent the lock screen from being disabled.

nvm! I think I understood wrong. It was disabled and now I only see the sign in screen :). Is there a way to disable both?

Yep, that's what would happen. No more lock screen, and straight to the sign-in screen by default.

You can use netplwiz in the tutorial below to have Windows 10 automatically sign in to an account at startup.

Step 4 works perfect (for Acer computers) me to disable the lock screen. I can report that you disable the sign in page both after you have put the computer on sleep and hibernate. Thanks a lot guys! :)

None of your suggestions work for me mate.

    Hi Brink.

None of your suggestions in post #1 work for me mate with this latest build.

The only thing I haven't tried yet is your recent suggestion Automatically Sign in to User Account at Startup in Windows 10Sign in User Account Automatically at Windows 10 Startup

I may try that next because I HATE Taskbar thumbnails because they ALWAYS pop up in the way of my mouse!!

    Thanks mate.

    Hmmm...

I tried both netplwiz and control userpasswords2 but I'm signed in with my Microsoft account so there's nothing that I can change using hose two options.

    =============================================================================================

As far as doing a "repair install" I basiclaly did that when I downloaded this latest build from UUDump site and installed it. My problem has been happening ever since!!

BTW I've always used Winaero's Tweaker to turn off the Lock Screen in every other Windows install but even that won't work with this latest build!

    Hello @thewizardoz,

Exactly what are you wanting to do so we can be sure to help with this?

Just to note, the lock screen and sign-in screen are not the same thing.
