Right at the start under the bold text. I guess from the wording i assumed whatever space the C:\ drive with apps, files etc stored/installed has been filled not just by the windows OS itself. I just downloaded the ISO via the media creation tool now but i might have an outdated one so im redownloading from their newer one
Think mine was 19041.572 and the newer one is 19042.631
I have no idea why you might think the ISO might be an outdated version.
You can check an ISO file's Version - see
ISO - check its Language, Edition, and Architecture - TenForums
but it can never tell the difference between 2004 & 20H2.

Just for future reference, when I use Download Windows 10 ISO file from Microsoft - TenForumsTutorials I always use Option 5 TechBench. I select exactly what I want and cannot be in any doubt about what I'm downloading.

I do not know much about overcoming upgrade errors.
Disconnect every bit of hardware that you can [in order to keep the situation as simple as possible in case the problem is a hardware driver issue].

Well it's starting to feel familiar had a blue screen error before too now. Irql not less or equal or something but the repair install seems to be going through now so guess we will see.
Well update succeeded same results. So I think it's time to finish getting those folders recorded do the reset fix, change them back all manually, do the bat backup and update unless there's any other suggestions. With the reset folder settings bat you guys made, if I were to restart my PC and then go into folders that are predominantly images or videos etc is Windows going to auto detect them again or will I have to turn that option back on manually and where would I do it?

I'm afraid "$env:APPDATA\WinViewBak" will not exist after clean installation.
Would you consider letting users choose a folder from the dialog box shown in the screenshot under OPTION FIVE below?

@Matthew Wai Backup folder now defaults to a subfolder at script location unless there is no write access there. Folder selector also added. Please test and let me know if it's OK. Thanks.
