Just wanted to add my experience with Home and Quick access folders view.
Recently I've had some troubles with those folders repeatedly loosing default settings view. I could 'Reset Folders' but was very annoying to do 5-10 times a day...
...In the end I've found that in addition to 'Reset Folders' is a benign action to click also on 'Apply to Folders' button (saving current settings as default for the selected folder type) to fix it permanently as reported in this other thread: I have a strange problem with Quick Access view

Correct. And as a side effect from my direct experience fixes the intermittent issue once and for all. With Reset Folders alone the issue came up randomly again and again in my case (experienced for months
).
Only Reset Folders + Apply To Folders seems to have finally fixed the issue permanently, so I thought it was worth mentioning since this seem a common minor glitch with Windows 10. Won't affect other standard folders.Last edited by hexaae; 28 Jun 2020 at 04:29.

I'm afraid it's an all or nothing type settings.
After the reset, you could set them back to how you want, and then create a backup of your folder view settings. This way you could restore the backup to reset folder views and restore the backup in one shot.

New guy here. Not seeing this helping me. I have a zillion photos organized in a main folder with subfolders. I want all the folders to show: Name, Date modified, type, size, Date created, Date taken, Tags, Camera model, Focal length, Max aperture, Exp time, Exp bias, Exp program, F-stop, ISO speed, Orientation, Program mode, White balance, Metering mode. So I set that up in the top folder and Customize to "Pictures / also apply to subfolders." That sticks. Then I do the Options>Change>View> Apply. But I still have subfolders showing "General Items." Also, if I go directly to such a folder and try to change to Pictures it won't take.
