    Bluetooth keeps turning off/disconnecting devices

I have the Windows 10 20H2 operating system. My Bluetooth keeps turning off by itself. I'll be listening to music via Bluetooth speakers, and the sound will just stop, even though the music player indicates the music is still playing. The Bluetooth settings for the speakers indicates the Speakers are still paired but not connected. Then, about 15-30 seconds later, the speakers connect by themselves and the music resumes. At first, I thought it might just be a problem with the speakers, but sometimes I'll be working elsewhere in my house, using a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard and the same speakers, and when the music stops, the Bluetooth mouse and keyboard also stop working. So I don't think it is a problem with the speakers.

I ran the Bluetooth trouble shooter, it said it fixed problems, but apparently it did not fix this problem. I tried to update to a newer Bluetooth driver, but Windows says I have the most recent version. (By the way, the driver is dated 6/21/2006 and is version 10.0.19041.1)

So what should I try next? Thank you.

    Hello @Paige Miller,

    As a start, you have a couple of options . . .

[1] You may have had a Windows Driver Update that doesn't work properly with your System. You could try rolling the Driver back to the previous one.
[2] Check the Manufacturers website for what is their latest Driver for your System.

    I hope this helps.

You are talking about the Bluetooth Driver here? Where would I find an earlier version? What "Manufacturer" are you referring to?

Your System Profile shows => System Manufacturer/Model Number: CyberPowerPC

     System Specifications

Please update your system specifications [ system AND hardware ] by editing your profile. It will allow us to give you more specific advice and help! . . .

To make this process easier for you, there is an automated method that you can use by clicking the Download button at the top of the Tutorial. It contains a standalone .exe file delivered in a .zip file. You just need to Unzip the file and Run SystemInfo.exe. Please note that this file does NOT save ANYTHING to your computer.

You might also find this Tutorial useful . . .

Please include Case, Cooler, HDD, PSU, SSD, etc.
Include ANY Peripherals attached to the computer, both wired or wireless [ Headset, Keyboard, Mouse, Printer, Scanner, Speakers, USB, Wireless Network Card, xBox, etc.]

    Thanks.

I have found a Bluetooth driver at the CyberPowerPC web site, I have installed it, and I will run it for a few days and see if the problem goes away.

Hopefully that will solve your problem.

Obviously come back if the problem persists.

Hi! The problem is not solved, but I suspect that I did not install the new Bluetooth driver correctly, but I am unsure of the meaning of the Device Manager dialog

Do I need to uninstall BT? This was the original BT driver when I started this thread)

Do I need to uninstall Intel (R) Wireless Bluetooth (R)?
