May not be only solution but you will not know until you try them all. I don't think that those older CODEC chips and associated electronics have impenitence sensing and adjustments like newer ones.
Just few things, are you connecting the to back or front ? Back outputs are usually HD and front ones may not be, depending on connection type.
Did you also try with more channels and this settings ?

Im using the back panel of my CPU for the headset and the front is my external speakers.
But i tried also switching it up or removing one and just use one either the headphones or the speakers.
My speakers got no problem only the headphones.

Also my Audio manager is different, check screenshot.

8742 is good driver & have littlebit smoother bass which i like for ambient slow music. want weak sound driver for ambient music.

If want solid bass, then sticks with 8734 for a moment.
