Hey :) I'm building my new PC with Gigabyte B450M DS3H (rev. 1.0) and I'm not sure which audio driver should I install for it's Realtec ALC887.
Official Gigabyte drivers for this mobo:
Realtek Audio Driver [6.0.8688.1]
Realtek HD Audio Driver [8454_PG466]
Can you guys recommend the best solution? Or maybe I should install drivers from this thread? Thanks in advance! :)
UAD 6.8810.1...............AWSOME !!
Thanks, DooGie. No, I didn't run setup.cmd, so that was obviously the problem. But I didn't pursue matters since UAD lacks the Realtek HD Audio Manager and I didn't like the pitiful excuse MS has for one. Additionally, I need the Creative driver version if Cinema 5 on my ASRock board is to be supported.
On ROG Forums MoKiChU has posted that A-Volute/Nahimic have fixed the browser problem where sonic studio times out and and stops working: [DRIVERS] Realtek HD Audio (UAD) - Page 69
You can either get the installer at the link(I did) or wait until it's updated in the store, and update that way.

ROG SS3-DTS users :
The Sonic Studio Virtual Mixer installation is now done via a independent driver package, and this same installation/update package allows you to fix the "Sonic Studio Virtual Mixer" duplicate problem in the Device Manager that some ROGers have been able to observe.
Look here ; Releases . pal1000/Realtek-UAD-generic . GitHub ................have to warn you , these drivers dont work on all systems ! Better make a backup first ..........
I have 8810 installed , dolby enabled and with FxSound Enhancer .............its just awsome , loud punchy drums and bass

this one is in another forum though. 8810 HDA is not WHQL though (production of HDA drivers has slowed down lately; Realtek seems to be making only new WHQL certified UAD drivers like 8809 WHQL)
you could try the generic 6.0.8787.1 UAD driver from here. (or use this "repacked" 8787 generic UAD driver for easy installation).
btw - 6.0.8688.1 for your Gigabyte board is a UAD driver while the 8454_PG466 (6.0.1.8454) version is the legacy HDA driver ; two different driver formats
