Aspera Connect (I cannot get this stupid thing to launch)

Anyone know anything about this? I need to access some files my former employer put up for me on their server, but they told me I needed Aspera Connect to grab them. Okay....

I eventually got the program installed, and got an extension installed into both the Edge and Chrome browsers. However, the stupid app will not launch (I go into the Start menu where the applications listing is, and simply left-click on Aspera... I get nothing).

Any ideas? Either I'm stupid, or IBM's tech support stinks. It is so convoluted, and if I'm not being run into a dead end, I'm being run in circles.

Thanks people. Always appreciate the help you folks provide.

    Hello @Khan N Singh,

I have never used it but I did a bit of investigating for you and found this [ It appears there are 2 steps ]:

    > Installing IBM Aspera Connect using Chrome on WinOS

Maybe uninstalling Aspera Connect and re-install it may help !

    IBM Documentation

I would have expected you'd be working with the browser extension... but

    that guide says
Aspera Connect (I cannot get this stupid thing to launch)-1.jpg

    and
Aspera Connect (I cannot get this stupid thing to launch)-1.jpg

    - so it seems you should be working from the system tray icon... not as you attempted.
