Yes Sir they work... We have used them ever since the beginning of time..... So again it is your implementation (Script) which I already pointed out that it was not correct - twice....

Exactly how is my implementation wrong? Why don't the built-in resources you pointed out working?

This is where the action is. Ban me if you don't want my help in improving WinBuilder and scripts.

These are WRITING to the HOST registry

So "YOUR" script is not correct - and I have no reason to FIX it for you...

I had a vague idea that a reg converter came with the projects. It has been a while since I looked at them. Am I imagining it ?
Maybe that was years ago with win7 wimbuilder.

Yes, Reg Convert PE, comes with the project..
He is trying to Merge an Exported Host Registry Key into PE and is pissed off that the Project does not write the key into the PE Build... Because we all know it is the Fault of the Project and not the User.
A simple profile search of his posts is all that is needed.. And I for one, am not going to get into a pissing match with him, been there and done that, and he wants to do it again, Sorry I'M Not Interested...

And there are Plenty of Examples within the Project, of an Imported Registry File to follow....

Asking me if I'm sure the methods "WE" use in the Project, Work in the Project....

Like you said, for what we do with PE, there is not much, if any difference...
In fact, there is not a single difference

The setup media contains three Wim files - Boot, WinRE and Install
The OS Version does not match or is not the same between them...
This is common with MS > Why > I do not know

Thanks for acknowledging that RegImport and RegImportFile are useles in WinBuilder.

When I get around to it I'll post the proof that RegWrite to HKCU doesn't work.
